Jasmine Nielsen

Jasmine Nielsen brings over two decades of experience leading New York City nonprofit organizations to her work providing strategic advisement, coaching, and facilitation that foster inclusive participation and shared leadership across all levels of an organization. A trained facilitator, Jasmine guides groups through complex conversations and supports holistic organizational development grounded in equity, inclusion, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

Her work centers on strategic planning, board development, change management, leadership development, and learning communities, integrating program strategy, governance, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and communications to strengthen organizations and the people who sustain them. Her consulting spans organizations working in food systems, social justice, arts and culture, open space, environmental sustainability, and higher education in prison.

Jasmine also teaches in NYU’s Food Studies program and serves on the board of Equity Advocates. Previously, she was Executive Director of Just Food and Love Heals (now part of GMHC). She holds a BA from Vassar College and an MA in Food Studies from New York University.
